ProYouth becomes one of the nutrition partners for Lanka Premier League Cricket Team
Proyouth is delighted to become the nutrition partner for a professional international cricket team called Jaffna Stallions playing in the T20 Lanka Premier League During December 2020.
LPL will boost cricketing interest and offer real opportunities for youngsters, says Jaffna team owners
During the challenging times when sports activities were limited the inaugural edition of the premier cricket league by (LPL) was a welcome treat for all cricket fas around the world.
With the team formed of a formidable outfit with the likes of cricket legend Shoaib Mailk and fast bowlers – Suranga Lakmal, Duanne Olivier, Kyle Abbott and Usman Shinwari are good enough to form the nucleus of any international side.
Cricket is a long endurance game where you need to stay energised, focussed and hydrated for long hours all of which our products support with being a source of Vitamin B12, Magnesium m Potassium alongside carbs, protein and other essential minerals. Knowing that we are a nutrition partner for this professional team is a huge compliment but there is a deeper reason why this partnership means to ProYouth Nutrition.
"Our reason for being a nutrition partner for such a great team goes beyond purely nutrition and brand visibility.
It is the value that sits behind this team that makes me delighted to be a part of this team's journey.
Jaffna is my birth town where I had to uproot at the the age of 9 so naturally my roots are connected to the origins of the team but how this team was formed and the purpose for which they were formed makes this team stand out "
says Marina Founder of ProYouth.
The team’s motto is to be a cricket club that provides a pathway to excellence for local and national athletes. They gave opportunities to some of the uncapped young local players from the North and South regions to play alongside some of the most admired national cricketers and the worlds top international players.
This is hugely life changing for these young boys who have previously not even had the opportunity to leave their rural villages. Additionally they hope to develop a cricket academy for children in Jaffna (the previously war struck Northern region) to provide them a stepping ladder into sport and to help build key life skills they may otherwise not have had.
They have made huge strides in the LPL and we wish them all the best !
